Sound circles with Deb
Not quite a choir , not quite a performance but a meeting of hearts, minds, bodies and voices. Based on the simple idea of combining sound, percussion and body movements sound circles enables people to explore create and enjoy sounds from within and around them.
Tai chi Qigong with Penny
Join Penny and become a lotus flower. Gentle breathing and movement exercises to relax the mind body and soul. Suitable for 5 year olds to 100 years olds.

Be inspired by Picasso and produce your own creative masterpiece. This workshop, presented by Ainslie McMahon, is designed to engage participants with the art of Pablo Picasso where the outcome will be a Picasso inspired portrait.

Nannette Balchin, a Quirky Purple Mango, will help you create fun and imaginative books and boxes out of recycled materials.
Dreamcatchers
Using vines, twine, feathers and beads learn the mystic American Indian art of making dreamcatchers. This workshop is presented by the Quirky Purple Mangoes.
Easy Etchings
with Lynda Hawryluk is a simple and fun workshop introducing participants to scraperboard etching. Using small etching tools and scraperboard samples of all sizes, participants will be shown how to design and etch their own elegant, funky and unique artwork.

Global Beads
Theresa and Shirley from Global Beads will be presenting 2two beading workshops. For Beginners: Learn the basics of beading and make a set of earrings and a necklace. Beach Sandals: Be the envy of everyone on the beach this summer with a pair of unique beaded sandals.
Wrapt in Wire Unleash your creative spirit and craft yourself a set of funky wire candleholders. Made using non tarnishing modeling wire this will be a festival memento to cherish. Not suitable for children.
Little Bit of Love
Come and create a glass mosaic heart. Veronika Zeil will show you how to glue glass and porcelain pieces onto recycled wooden shapes to make beautiful decorative pieces.
Metal Casting: Demonstration and Workshops.
Festival goers are invited to watch or participate in these metal casting workshops. With the help of master caster Jimmy Z you will be given the opportunity to cast a free hand mould of a name or symbol.
Nuno Felting and Hat Felting
Participate in the nuno felting workshops and make hip wraps, bandannas and scarves by felting brightly coloured wool onto cotton fabric. Or try hat felting in 2 dimensional moulds to produce berets and crazy hats with embellishments in the form of dread locks or 3D patterns.
Quirky Key Rings
Fashion a fabulously decorative key ring from beads and string. A Quirky Purple Mango will help you make a key ring youll want to hang as an ornament.
Screen Printing with Nancy Brown
Banners for your Tent Festival goers will screen print a colourful banner with their own design and Village Festival written on it, to hang from their tent. Festival Bags Festival goers can screen print their own design on a village Festival calico bag to carry their festival treasures around in.

Comedy Club comes to Yeppoon Saturday Night
Jimbo is a cult comedian of no fixed abode who travels to gigs all over Australia wearing only his unapologetically raw, uncensored, risky, outrageous, r rated, rude, interactive brand of humour.
Julia Wilson Described by many as the toughest woman in comedy, Julia tours the world with her dubious morals making appearances on stages around the globe, from TV (Stand Up Australia, Love My Way), to radio (JJJ, Nova) and film.
Ellen Briggs is a talented mother of two, with a sharp tongue e and a rapidly rising career in the comedy industry. She has appeared on "Stand Up Australia", and was a finalist in the nationally televised Melbourne International Comedy Festival 2007 Raw Comedy Competition.

In honour of Queenslands 150th Birthday celebrations we present an artful, considered and quite possibly humorous attempt to define those elements that make Queensland not only our fastest growing state but increasingly the centre of the known universe. Dress attire of shorts and long socks with maroon shirt strictly optional.

The Australian Poetry Slam 08
Slams are an electric spoken word showcase open to anyone with something to say....two minutes, a microphone, and a live audience the judge! Performers can speak, sing, scream, rap, howl or whisper their words. Your Slam host and feature artist for the night will be QLD Slammaster and renowned performance poet Ghostboy. This is a partnered event between The Village Festival and Rockhampton Regional Council Libraries presented by The State Library of Queensland.
Poets Breakfast Join Bob Pacey and friends for some spoken word performances on Sunday morning at the festival.
